The latest installment within the Heaven Hill Heritage Collection has landed, Beverage Dynamics reported Thursday. The expression is an 18-year-old Kentucky straight bourbon, and it houses some of the distillery’s oldest whiskey in the blend.

“The Heaven Hill Heritage Collection is our opportunity to showcase some of the oldest stock in Heaven Hill’s incredible inventory of aging whiskey,” Heaven Hill Master Distiller Conor O’Driscoll said in a news release. “We pride ourselves on having the necessary patience to age, taste, re-taste and select our whiskey at the moment we feel it is perfectly matured. This 18-year-old Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whiskey epitomizes what consumers have come to expect from the highest quality of Heaven Hill’s releases.”

The limited-release whiskey hosts a suggested retail price of $299.99 per 750-milliliter bottle and will begin to ship in March. The Heaven Hill brand claims the release is composed of 133 barrels distilled in December 2005. The barrels were pulled from the third floor of Rickhouse 1I.

Clocking in at 120 proof, the whiskey comes from Heaven Hill’s signature mashbill, featuring 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.

Heaven Hill’s Heritage Collection rolled out in 2022 and featured a 17-year-old whiskey — which we’ve reviewed here. In 2023, the brand released a 20-year-old corn whiskey bottled at 115-proof.

This latest release marks a month chock full of exciting whiskeys from the Heaven Hill brand. On Tuesday, the brand announced the first Elijah Craig Barrel Proof release of 2024: Elijah Craig Barrel Proof A124. With an age statement of 10 years and 9 months, the bourbon from the wildly popular label hosts a suggested retail price of $74.99 a bottle.
