Texas whiskey brand Garrison Brothers Distillery announced on Wednesday that it raised over $75,000 to honor veterans and donated the funds to the National Museum of the Pacific War.

“Recognizing our veterans and war heroes is in the DNA of Garrison Brothers and we could not be prouder to support the National Museum of the Pacific War right here in our backyard, in Fredericksburg,” founder Dan Garrison said in a news release. “Red, White & Bourbon is more than just a fundraiser, it’s a tribute to American history, service and community.”

Garrison Brother’s Red, White & Bourbon Fundraiser took place on Nov. 9, and the Texas distillery hosted over 500 guests at the event. Red, White & Bourbon involved a silent auction where guests could purchase unique hand-painted barrels featuring the talents of local artists.

One of Garrison Brother’s Hurricane Tough bottles went under the hammer in addition to two opportunities to taste cask-strength bourbons from the brand with Garrison Brother’s Distiller Samantha Olvera. Guests in attendance at the event could dip their bottles in commemorative red, white and blue wax to honor this country’s heroes.

Garrison Brothers – A Distillery That Gives Back

Garrison Brothers is no stranger to hosting events and unveiling rare releases to give back to its community.

In July, the Texas whiskey brand unveiled its rare expression of Laguna Madre, a bourbon that celebrate the Texas geographical landmark of the same name. The whiskey is considered one of the brand’s most coveted releases. Proceeds from sales went to environmental conservation efforts for Texas coasts.

That same month, Garrison Brothers managed to raise over $100,000 for local communities within the Texas Panhandle that were ravaged by catastrophic wildfires that tore through the region earlier. Garrison Brothers hosted a “Winner Winner Chicken Dinner” fundraiser that was a sold-out benefit to help the communities rebuild.

Five hundred guests attended the dinner and guests were able to bid on hand-painted barrels from local artists in the area.
