On Monday, Garrison Brothers, best known for being Texas’ first legal bourbon distillery, announced the 2024 release of its Guadalupe Bourbon.

The port-finished bourbon will release at the distillery on Feb. 3 and reach national markets by the end of February. Ten thousand and five hundred bottles of the Texas straight bourbon will be available, with the first 1,000 obtainable on release day at the distillery.

This limited-edition bourbon is bottled at 107 proof and distilled from a sweet mash of Texas-grown grains: No. 1 food-grade corn, soft red winter wheat and barley. It has a suggested retail price of $149.99

Garrison Brothers Guadalupe 2024 release is a bold beautiful bourbon that demonstrates the symphony of amazing Texas sized temperature swings in Hye paired with four years in white American oak casks then two more years in port casks,” Garrison Brothers Master Distiller Donnis Todd said in a news release.

This year’s is release No. 4 of Guadalupe. Garrison Brothers first acquired port casks from a local winery in 2015. Soon after, Todd began sourcing barrels for a “more expansive port cask bourbon project,” per the brand: Guadalupe. This year’s Guadalupe is aged for four years in white American oak casks and finished for two years in Portuguese tawny port casks.

In August, Garrison Brothers released its annual Cowboy Bourbon, bottled at a whopping 70.45% ABV.

In September, Garrison Brothers announced it signed a multi-year partnership with the NBA’s Houston Rockets. As part of the deal, the Garrison Brothers Bourbon Bar opened on the upper concourse of the team’s stadium, the Toyota Center.
