Earlier this month, Garrison Brothers Distillery announced it will release its 2025 Guadalupe Texas Straight Bourbon Whiskey on July 12 with a limited on-site launch event in Hye, Texas, followed by nationwide availability later in July. The distillery will also release 1,000 bottles of Guadalupe Cask Strength Single Barrel bourbon during the event to raise funds for Gulf Trust, a nonprofit focused on preserving the Texas Coast and Gulf.
This marks the first time Garrison Brothers has released Guadalupe at cask strength.
A total of 8,600 bottles of Guadalupe will be released this year, with the first 1,000 available at the distillery. The bourbon is aged for six years — four in new American oak and two in tawny port casks — and bottled at 107 proof. Suggested retail price is $149.99.
In addition to the standard Guadalupe release, Garrison Brothers will debut a limited run of Guadalupe Cask Strength Single Barrel bottles, bottled at proofs ranging from 123.9 to 129.8 and priced at $219.99. For each bottle sold, $50 will be donated to Gulf Trust.
“Texans live in a coastal state, not just a state with a coast,” Jay Kleberg, executive director of Gulf Trust, said in a news release. “Every one of our rivers, including the Guadalupe, flows to the Gulf. We are all connected by water, and with this partnership, Garrison Brothers and its customers are supporting healthier waters — for Texas and beyond.”
Founded in 2006, Garrison Brothers was the first legal bourbon distillery in Texas and remains known for producing straight bourbon from Texas-sourced ingredients. The Guadalupe expression uses corn, soft red winter wheat, and barley. Each bottle is hand-dipped in copper wax and individually numbered.
“Water makes the whiskey. Guadalupe 2025 is bold and beautiful—shaped by Hye’s wild Texas temperature swings, then proofed with rainwater we harvest on our 68-acre ranch.” Garrison Brothers Master Distiller Donnis Todd said. “That devotion to clean environment is a big part of what makes Garrison Brothers legendary.”
Garrison Brothers Guadalupe has earned an impressive Raided Score® of 90 based on reviews from trusted critics across the internet.
