Four Roses announced on Tuesday the launch of the brand’s Single Barrel Collection, which features a series of three 100-proof bourbons featuring the Kentucky brand’s distinctive recipes. The whiskeys will roll out in 2025 and join the brand’s existing flagship expression.

The launch lines up with the 20th anniversary of the day Four Roses launched its flagship Single Barrel Bourbon, which is made from Four Roses’ OSBV recipe.

Now, Four Roses is releasing single-barrel editions of three of its other recipes: OBSF, OESK and OESO.

Each bottle in the Four Roses Single Barrel collection will be aged 7-9 years. Four Roses says it will rotate in a new Single Barrel Collection each year, introducing drinkers to each of its 10 recipes, which are made with different combinations of FOur Roses’ mashbills and yeast strains.

“We are incredibly proud of the recognition our flagship Single Barrel has received over the last 20 years, so to be introducing our new Single Barrel Collection in this anniversary year is something truly special,” Four Roses Master Distiller Brent Elliott said in a news release. “Our ten recipes are central to creating Four Roses’ signature mellow spice, and this collection provides the experience for fans to enjoy more of what makes our bourbons special.”

Each expression has a suggested retail price of $49.99 a bottle and is set to be available to the public at the beginning of 2025.

In August, Four Roses dropped its exclusive Limited Edition Small Batch Bourbon, and it featured bourbons from the OBSV, OESK, OESF and OBSV recipes. The bourbons ranged from 12 to 20 years of age.

The Four Roses Single Barrel Collection in Depth

OBSV

OBSV is the flagship Single Barrel whiskey. It is made from Four Roses’ mashbill B — 60% corn, 35% rye and 5% malted barley — with yeast strain V. Four Roses says the bourbon has tasting notes of rye spice, apricot, cinnamon, pear and a toasted oak spine.

OBSF

OBSF is also made from mashbill B but features yeast strain F, and Four Roses cites herbal notes, apple, vanilla, clove, cocoa and “bright rye.”

OESK

OESK is composed of Four Roses’ mashbill E, which is a mixture of 75% corn, 20% rye and 5% malted barley. Four Roses implemented yeast strain K in the production process and claims the bourbon possesses aromas of tea leaves, mellow oak, caramel and baking spice.

OESO

The final single barrel is composed of mashbill E paired with yeast strain O. The brand claims OESO delivers red fruit flavors, like strawberry, vanilla bean, brown sugar and subtle oak.
