Evan Williams Celebrates 10 Years on Louisville’s Whiskey Row With Release of 10-Year-Old Bourbon

Evan Williams

On Friday, the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience unveiled a celebratory expression of Evan Williams Single Barrel Vintage Bourbon as the brand celebrates the its 10th anniversary of its location on Louisville, Kentucky’s Whiskey Row. The bourbon is distilled from a mashbill of 78% corn, 12% malted barley and 10% rye.

The 2013 vintage clocks in at 110 proof, a deliberate nod to the Heaven Hill-owned brand’s 10th anniversary at the space. The blend is composed of bourbon barreled in August, October or December 2013, and the barrels spent 10 years aging on the second floor of Rickhouse LL at Heaven Hill’s Schenley property.

The bottle’s top is dipped in silver wax, and designs on the label depict the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience.

“We are proud to be one of the leaders returning Whiskey Row to its original glory in the heart of downtown Louisville,” Jodie Filiatreau, artisanal distiller at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience, said in a news release shared by Breaking Bourbon. “This commemorative bottle of Evan Williams Single Barrel vintage is a completely unique offering fitting of such a momentous occasion.”

The whiskey will be made available starting Saturday and can be purchased for $110 at the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience and select retailers in the area.

Those local to the area can also visit the Evan Williams Bourbon Experience in person on Saturday and experience tours and tastings as part of the “Ten Neat Years Celebration.” The party is scheduled to start at noon and run until 4:00 p.m.

In August, Heaven Hill unveiled another limited release, the Parker’s Heritage Collection 10-year-old, cask-strength rye whiskey. A portion of the proceeds from each year’s release go to ALS research.
