Elijah Craig is marking International Whiskey Day with a limited Instagram giveaway tied to a new campaign with professional golfer Bob MacIntyre.

The promotion launches 10 a.m. EST March 27 on Elijah Craig’s Instagram account. The first 100 eligible users who comment on the post describing how they enjoy their favorite whiskey in place of scotch will receive a $40 gift card. The offer is open to U.S. residents age 21 and older, with a limit of one reward per person.

The campaign centers on a simple ask: swap a pour of scotch for bourbon and share how you drink it. Entries must be submitted as a public comment on the post, and participants must follow both brand and athlete accounts to qualify. The promotion ends once 100 valid entries are received or by April 30, whichever comes first.

“On the course or off, I relish friendly competition, so I couldn’t resist challenging Scotch drinkers to take a chance on American Bourbon,” MacIntyre said in a news release. “I’ve done it, and while I’ll always be loyal to Scotch, I’ve enjoyed broadening my whiskey horizons with Elijah Craig and opening my senses to something wonderful and different.”

MacIntyre, who serves as a brand ambassador, appears in a video tied to the campaign, where he references his Scotch background while encouraging fans to try bourbon. The effort aligns with Elijah Craig’s role as the official bourbon of the PGA of America and the Ryder Cup.

Alongside the giveaway, the brand is highlighting key bottles for consumers making the switch. That includes Elijah Craig Small Batch, a core offering, and a newer 15-Year-Old Single Barrel Bourbon bottled at 108 proof.

Produced by Heaven Hill Distillery, Elijah Craig is part of a broader portfolio that includes barrel proof, toasted barrel, and rye expressions. The brand traces its name to Elijah Craig, often associated with early bourbon production in Kentucky.

No purchase is required to enter the giveaway. Full rules are available through the brand’s official channels.
