Traveller Whiskey, co-created by Buffalo Trace Master Distiller Harlen Wheatley and musician Chris Stapleton, has been named the Official Whiskey of Major League Baseball under a new multi-year agreement announced this week.

The deal marks the first time MLB has partnered with a whiskey brand in an official capacity. The partnership includes integrated marketing across broadcasts, social media, and retail, as well as on-site fan activations during marquee events like the 2025 MLB All-Star Week and the MLB Speedway Classic.

“Whenever we’re on the road and it happens to line up, we go to baseball games. It’s become a bit of a tradition over the years. We love to experience all the different ballparks and enjoy the culture of whatever baseball town we happen to be in,” Stapleton said in a news release. “My wife and I even went to Game Six of the World Series once on our anniversary. Needless to say, I’m thrilled Traveller Whiskey is going to be the Official Whiskey of MLB.”

The campaign will target consumers 21 and older, with sweepstakes and giveaways tied to major MLB events. Retail displays, digital promotions and branded content like MLB Power Rankings will also be part of the rollout.

Uzma Rawn Dowler, MLB’s Chief Marketing Officer, said the timing was right. “Between record levels of MLB fan engagement, All-Star Week in Atlanta and the Speedway Classic at Bristol Motor Speedway, this is a great year for Traveller and MLB to start working together.”

Traveller Whiskey was released in 2024 and is bottled at 90 proof. It features a blend selected from over 50 samples, chosen by Wheatley and Stapleton. Click here to check out notable reviews of Traveller Whiskey from trusted critics across the internet.

Produced at Buffalo Trace, the whiskey is sold nationwide with a suggested retail price of $39.99 per 750-milliliter bottle.
