Drink Your Bourbon and Look Good While Doing It: Chicken Cock Taps Fashion Brand for Highly Limited Whiskey Release

On Wednesday, Chicken Cock Whiskey announced a collaboration with The Ampal Creative, a hat company that specializes in embroidered baseball caps, for a limited-edition release. As part of The Famous Old Brand’s Reserve Cask Program, a bespoke hat will be sold with a bottle of Chicken Cock Whiskey’s newest small-batch bourbon.
The release is available for purchase from Chicken Cock’s website for $189.99.
According to the brand, The Ampal Creative’s team tasted some of Chicken Cock Whiskey’s 8-year-aged bourbon from barrels chosen by Chicken Cock Whiskey Master Distiller Gregg Snyder.
The bourbon The Ampal Creative team picked is distilled from a mashbill of 80% corn, 11.5% rye and 8.5% malted barley and is bottled in a custom-designed bottle. The bundle comes with a Chicken Cock-Themed hat designed by Ampal Creative.
With only 156 bottles of the new bourbon available, this is an extremely limited release.
“It was an easy decision to work with Chicken Cock,” creative director and owner of The Ampal Creative, Andrew Potash, said in a news release. “It can be distilled down to a dedication to quality over quantity, but parallels run a lot deeper than that.”
Potash said that in this day and age, the market is driven by “disposable, trend-driven consumerism” and cites the Chicken Cock Whiskey brand as staying true to its integrity.
“We hand-pick all our materials and Chicken Cock’s Master Distiller hand-picks all the barrels used to age the whiskey,” Potash said. “It’s an intangible deal on paper but one that makes a huge difference in the final experience and enjoyment our customers get out of our products.”
In October, Chicken Cock announced a high-proof bourbon launch as a part of its collaboration with Kevin Kisner. The PGA TOUR professional golfer hand-chose a cask from the brand’s Reserve Cask Program, and the expression hosted a suggested retail price of $150.
