Buzzard’s Roost Sipping Whiskey announced on Monday a customer loyalty program whose members will be called “Ambuzzadors.” Interested parties can sign up here.

“We’re excited to embrace our customers with a warm ‘Kentucky hug,’ as Buzzard’s Roost Ambuzzadors,” Buzzard’s Roost CEO Judy Hollis Jones said in a statement. “Customer loyalty is extremely important to us as we continue to expand across the country, and we invite all interested whiskey lovers to join our flock of Ambuzzadors.”

Those who join Buzzard’s Roost’s loyalty program will receive a branded lapel pin and loyalty card, offering members a “complimentary experience” at Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey Row after buying six bottles of Buzzard’s Roost Whiskey.

The program additionally offers early access to purchase new whiskey expressions and invitations to tastings with Jones, Jason Brauner and Master Distiller Ethan Spalding. Ambuzzadors will also be able to take part in barrel picks for the brands’ series of Ambuzzador Single Barrel Whiskey.

Buzzard’s Roost opened a Downtown Louisville space in February 2023, and the 6,000-square-foot space included retail space, a bar and tasting room.

The small space had the capacity to make five to seven barrels of whiskey a week, and the brand’s very own distilled whiskeys will be used as well as the whiskeys Buzzard’s Roost sources.

On Friday, the brand celebrated the bird behind its namesake and an obscure national holiday: Buzzard’s Day. The brand partnered with Raptor Rehabilitation of Kentucky and guests could spend some time with a buzzard in the flesh.

The event was meant to raise funding to support the endangered birds.
