On Tuesday, Breckenridge Distillery announced the fourth annual release of Sexy Motor Oil, a barrel exchange collaboration between Breckenridge Distillery and Breckenridge Brewery, resulting in both a whiskey and beer release.

On Feb. 14, Breckenridge Distillery will release Sexy Motor Oil whiskey, a bourbon finished in beer barrels sourced from the neighboring brewery, and Breckenridge Brewery will release a beer counterpart, an imperial oatmeal stout beer aged in Breckenridge Distillery bourbon barrels.

Bottled at 107 proof, the whiskey has notes of cherry, sweet cream, light white pepper and chocolate on the nose; cherry, caramel cream, cinnamon and oa on the palate; and dry cacao on the finish, according to Breckenridge distillery. Sexy Motor Oil beer, meanwhile, is described as “black as night” in color with notes of “big warming alcohol notes and rich colcolate and coffee flavors.

Sexy Motor Oil whiskey is available exclusively at Breckenridge Distillery and the Breckenridge Distillery Tasting Room in Breckenridge. Only 240 bottles are available, and they will sell for a suggested retail price of $200.

In December, Breckenridge Distillery released its annual Ullr Blend to mark the town of Breckenridge’s Ullr Fest, which celebrates Ullr, the Norse god of snow, and the immense snowfall Breckenridge gets each year.
