On Friday, Heaven’s Door, the whiskey brand founded by the famous musician Bob Dylan, announced the latest release in its annual Bootleg Series.
Heaven’s Door Bootleg Series Volume V is an 18-year-old bourbon finished in Spanish vermouth rouge casks.
“Vermouth has long been a part of whiskey cocktail culture, and we wanted to capture that essence in this mature Bootleg Series expression,” Heaven’s Door Master Blender Alex Moore said in a news release. “We chose Spanish Vermouth casks to finish the 18-year-old bourbon to provide depth of flavor and complexity that perfectly complements the whiskey’s character.”
Bottled at 114 proof, Heaven’s Door Bootleg Series Volume V is available from the Heaven’s Door website and via select national retailers for a suggested retail price of $599.
The Bootleg series is named for Dylan’s series of rare, unreleased tracks. Each bottle is decorated with ne of Dylan’s original paintings on a ceramic bottle and comes presented in a bespoke leather journal.
Bootleg Volume V features Dylan’s 2019 painting “No Vacancies” from The Beaten Path collection.
