On Thursday, Blue Run Spirits — the first whiskey company acquired by beer giant Molson Coors — announced a holiday gift calendar themed around its “12 Days of Bourbon” series.
The first Blue Run Holiday Gift Calendar is valued at $200 and contains “12 bourbon-inspired gifts”: Eight samples from the 12 Days of Bourbon series, a 4-ounce tasting glass, a 4-ounce flask, an ornament and a gift card steak service for two. It will be available in limited quantities as a gift added alongside the purchase of Blue Run High Rye bourbon starting Dec. 12.
Blue Run describes the gift as “the ultimate luxury bourbon holiday calendar artfully curated for whiskey connoisseurs, lovers of the finer things in life, or the friend who already has seemingly everything.”
The calendars will be available here starting Dec. 12. In total, Blue Run says the calendar is valued at over $200, and yet the whole thing is available alongside a $99 purchase of a bottle of Blue Run Spirits High Rye Bourbon. The catch? Only 40 calendars will be available. Ten will roll out each day day starting at 9 a.m. EST from Dec. 12 to Dec. 15
Each year, Blue Run releases 12 bourbons under the 12 Days of Bourbon series, with this year’s release being the third annual one. This year’s lineup comprises 12 single-barrel, barrel-proof bourbons selected by Jim Rutledge, who is best known for his longtime role as Four Roses’ master distiller but today serves as Blue Run’s liquid advisor.
