On Thursday, Lux Row Distillers announced the release of the third edition of its Blood Oath Trilogy of limited-edition bourbons.

Each Trilogy collection is composed of three releases — or “pacts” — packaged together in a set. Blood Oath Pacts 7, 8 and 9 debut in a Trilogy with a suggested retail price of $799.99. Only 1,400 sets are available, and the bourbons will begin shipping in September.

Blood Oath releases a “Pact” each year, and Lux Row Master Distiller John Rempe sets aside some of each one to be released in a Trilogy collection once every three years.

“Blood Oath is a passion project for me,” Rempe said in a news release. “Each new Pact brings together everything that I love about creating memorable bourbons – from the unique blends to the cask-aging. This third Trilogy edition is something truly special and I’m looking forward to sharing this unique collection of bourbon history with our fans.”

Packaged in a black wooden display box, the third release of Blood Oath Trilogy contains Pacts 7, 8 and 9, which were released in 2021, 2022 and 2023.

Blood Oath Pact No. 7 is a blend of one 14-year and two 8-year-old bourbons, one of which was finished in Sauternes casks, imparting a sweet winey character. Read our review.

Blood Oath Pact No. 8 is composed of a 14-year bourbon, an 11-year bourbon and an 8-year bourbon finished in Calvados casks. Calvados ia an apple or pear brandy from France. Read our review.

Blood Oath Pact No. 9 is made up of a 16-year bourbon, a 12-year bourbon and a 7-year bourbon finished in Oloroso sherry casks.
