On Tuesday, A. Smith Bowman Distillery announced the third annual release of its Cask Strength Virginia Straight Bourbon Whiskey.

This year’s bourbon is bottled at a cask-strength 135.1 proof and aged at least nine years.

“When tasting through our barrel inventory, the 9-year-old barrels had a wonderful complexity and sweetness that I wanted to incorporate in this blend,” A. Smith Bowman Head Distiller Danny Bock said in a news release. “We believe our Cask Strength Whiskey is about crafting the best possible cask strength whiskey we can provide from our stocks. I’m excited for fans to try this year’s release!”

A. Smith Bowman Cask Strength Bourbon Batch #3 will release in select U.S. markets and via an online lottery, which will open at noon EST Jan. 3 and close at noon EST Jan. 10. The lottery will be open nationwide, but winners must be able to purchase their bottles in-person at the A. Smith Bowman gift shop within three weeks of winning. The lottery will be able to be accessed here.

The bottles will sell for a suggested retail price of $99.99 per 750-milliliter bottle.

Winners will be randomly selected Jan. 12 and notified by email.
