WhistlePig Reunites Cast of ‘Super Troopers’ to Sell Limited Edition Barrel Aged Maple Syrup Alongside New ‘Whiskey & Waffle’ Kit

On Thursday, WhistlePig Whiskey announced the release of a “Whiskey & Waffle” kit and a limited-edition maple syrup inspired by the 2001 comedy “Super Troopers.”

The original Troopers are reuniting in Los Angeles, where WhistlePig says they’ll serve free samples of Vermont’s finest Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup — in whiskey and on waffles — and a first taste of the Super Troopers inaugural ‘stache syrup, The limited-edition Maple Syrup bottle comes rocking a removable mustache and sunglasses as an ode to the film.

“Mother of God. Whoever decided to age maple syrup in whiskey barrels knows how to treat a mustache well,” Jay Chandrasekhar, who played Thorny in “Super Troopers,” said in a news release. “Chugging syrup is kind of our thing, and this heavenly hooch needs to be preserved! It’s our duty and honor to keep the Maple Old Fashioneds flowing from the maple mecca that is Vermont. Just don’t forget the mini waffle garnish — the only thing that pairs with syrup better than whiskey is waffles. 1, 2, 3… do eet.”

The Whiskey & Waffle Kit can be ordered here for $89.99 and comes with a 750-milliliter bottle of WhistlePig PiggyBack Rye Whiskey, a 375-milliliter bottle of WhistlePig Barrel-Aged Maple Syrup, a miniature waffle maker to be used for making mini waffles to garnish your Maple Old Fashioned, and WhistlePig Waffle Mix.
