Washington Capitals Name American Single Malt Pioneer Virginia Distillery the ‘Hometown Whisky’ Partner of the Team

On Tuesday, Virginia Distillery Company announced that it has inked a partnership to be named the “Hometown Whisky” of the NHL’s Washington Capitals.
To mark the partnership, Virginia Distillery has released a limited-edition gift set. The set comprises a bottle of Virginia Distillery’s Courage & Conviction Bourbon Cask American Single Malt Whisky, two hockey puck-shaped chilling stones and a Washington Capitals rocks glass. The gift sets will be available via retailers in Washington, D.C., Maryland, Delaware and Virginia.

We look forward to raising a glass together with Caps fans around the world and sharing the rich flavors of Virginia with their entire community.”
Courage & Conviction Bourbon Cask and Virginia Distillery’s flagship Signature Malt expression will be available for purchase in the suite level at all home Washington Capitals games during the 2023-24 season.

Virginia Distillery is one of the pioneers of American single malt whisky, a trending category. In July, Virginia Distillery announced a course titled The American Single Malt Academy to educate participants about the burgeoning category.
