On Monday, Wyoming Whiskey unveiled its first brand campaign, a visual testament to the natural beauty within the state of Wyoming. The campaign, simply titled “Made Of Wyoming,” features footage of rugged landmarks such as Bighorn Basin and Grand Teton National Parks in addition to shots of the distillery.
The commercial was a collaboration between the whiskey brand’s agency — 77 Ventures Creative — and a production company called Boomshot. According to the brand, it took seven years for the companies to shoot footage of natural vistas across the state.
“It’s another great creative opportunity from Wyoming Whiskey,” 77 Ventures Creative Director and Boomshot founder Michael Haje said in a news release. “The chance to tell its authentic brand story, show the whiskey world where we’re from, and demonstrate the impact of our very different environment on our bourbon.”
Some of the footage captured showcased the beauty of Mead Ranch in Jackson, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, and the finished campaign can be viewed below:
More On Wyoming Whiskey
Brad and Kate Mead founded Wyoming Whiskey in 2006. The small-batch bourbon distillery operates out of Kirby, Wyoming, and is home to six rickhouses. The whiskey brand says it prides itself on using local grains in its mashbill and sources its water from the Madison Formation, a limestone aquifer. According to Wyoming Whiskey, some of the water from the Madison Formation hasn’t seen the sunlight since the bronze age, which took place 6,000 years ago.
In September, the brand released four bourbons and donated $150,000 to the Grand Teton National Park Foundation. Kate Mead cited a “deep and visceral” attachment to the national park as part of the reason behind the donation. Wyoming Whiskey’s choice to show appreciation for the state’s wild beauty in its campaign made perfect sense.
“It’s exciting to launch our first ever brand Campaign and communicate why Wyoming Whiskey stands alone,” Wyoming Whiskey Senior Brand Manager Jack Bauer said. “The whiskey is a reflection of the state. Its people, landscape, and weather create one of the most unique whiskeys in the world, and we are delighted to share its story through the ‘Made Of Wyoming’ campaign.”
Also on Monday, Wyoming Whiskey announced its annual Barrel Strength Bourbon and Single Barrel Bourbon releases.
Wyoming Whiskey Barrel Strength Bourbon hosts a suggested retail price of $299.99 and clocks in at a hefty 122.4 proof. The 5-year-old expression offers a “distinct flavor profile that reflects its Wyoming origin,” according to the brand.
Wyoming Whiskey’s Single Barrel Bourbon hosts a suggested retail price of $99.99, and the brand says it is composed of the top 1% of its bourbon stocks. The bourbon is bottled at 96 proof.
