High West Distillery announced on Friday that it partnered with actor and musician Luke Grimes to support the brand’s Protect the West initiative, which funds conservation efforts across the American West.

The collaboration marks the latest phase of High West’s ongoing environmental campaign, which has contributed over $1 million since its launch to nonprofits focused on land preservation, drought mitigation and climate resilience.

Grimes, known for his roles in Western-themed films and television, will serve as a brand ambassador and help raise awareness about the environmental threats facing the region. “Every adventurer has their spot, that one place in the wild they cherish most,” Grimes said. “For me, this partnership with High West is about protecting those places before they’re gone.”

As part of the announcement, High West launched a sweepstakes inviting fans to engage with the campaign on Instagram. To enter, participants must follow @DrinkHighWest and comment on a collaboration post with the Western location they want to protect. One winner will receive a trip to Park City, Utah, to explore the High West lifestyle. The sweepstakes runs through July 25.

According to the brand, the campaign aligns with Grimes’ personal commitment to conservation and outdoor living. “Luke embodies the spirit of the West, and together, we hope to inspire others to join us in protecting the land that gives so much to all of us,” Constellation Brands Brand Director for Craft Spirits Jacqueline Jacobs said.

Founded in 2007 in Park City, High West has seen firsthand the regional impacts of climate change, including rising temperatures and shrinking snowpacks. The Protect the West campaign aims to address those challenges through donations and partnerships with environmental groups.
