Limestone Branch Distillery announced on Monday that the brand finished constructing a 1,250-square-foot tasting lodge honoring the distillery’s founder, Stephen Beam. The lodge celebrates one of the Beam’s favorite places – Yellowstone National Park. This is fitting, as Limestone Branch is best known for the Yellowstone whiskey brand.

“It’s humbling and exciting to have the Tasting Lodge named in my honor because it’s an expansion of our dream to bring our family recipes and traditions to customers in small batches since opening Limestone Branch Distillery more than 10 years ago,” Beam said in a news release. “And for the first time, we’re able to offer Yellowstone American Single Malt Whiskey and Minor Case Rye barrel selections for our customers to taste and choose from in addition to our Yellowstone Bourbon and Hand Picked Kentucky Straight Bourbon.”

The Stephen B. Beam Tasting Lodge offers guests the opportunity to choose barrel picks of Yellowstone Bourbon hand-picked, Yellowstone American Single Malt Whiskey and Minor Case Rye 6-Year. The Luxco-owned brand claims the lodge will be able to comfortably accommodate up to 20 guests in a facility that overlooks the vistas surrounding the property. Yellowstone claimed it intends to offer mixology classes, host private events, and offer exclusive barrel-pick programs within the new space.

“As we continue to expand our barrel program to include more unique and sought-after selections, we wanted to create a dedicated space for customers to fully experience these offerings,” Luxco Barrel Program Manager Casey Shirley. “The addition of the private Tasting Lodge provides the ideal location for customers to get to know our award-winning brands a little better and sample and select the perfect barrel.”

Limestone Branch has a lengthy history of celebrating Yellowstone National Park. The brand introduced a whiskey in March 2022 — Yellowstone Family Recipe. The whiskey was created to honor Yellowstone National Park’s 150th Anniversary, and the brand releases it on an annual basis. The popular whiskey took a jaunt across the pond according to The Spirits Business, when Luxco decided to release some bottles in Europe.

The release was made from a recipe Stephen found in his grandfather’s notebook, Guy Beam. It also contained cloned yeast DNA from a jug owned by Minor Case Beam, Stephen Beam’s great-grandfather.
