Chicken Cock Whiskey announced on March 28 the release of a Double Oak Kentucky Straight Whiskey barrel pick as part of the brand’s partnership with PGA Tour Pro Golfer, Kevin Kisner. The 9-year-old whiskey hosts a suggested retail price of $149.99 and clocks in at a proof of 119.2.

The brand shared that the Double Oak Kentucky Straight Whiskey was initially aged in ex-bourbon barrels for seven years before resting for two years in new white oak barrels. Chicken Cock claimed the barrels were hand-chosen by Kisner after receiving guidance from the brand’s master distiller Gregg Snyder. The whiskey was bottled at barrel proof.

The duo ultimately settled upon a whiskey with a mashbill of 80% corn, 11.5% rye and 8.5% malted barley.

“Authenticity and quality are two characteristics I value, which are especially true for Chicken Cock Whiskey,” Kisner expressed in a news release. “From the authentic brand history to the meticulous attention to detail of its whiskey production, Chicken Cock Whiskey is a real one.”

This latest release marked the second offering within the brand’s partnership with the professional golfer. Kisner inked the multiyear partnership with the whiskey brand in January 2023.

In October, Kisner and Chicken Cock announced the release of a high-proof bourbon within the brand’s Reserve Cask Program.

It appears the release was quite a success, as the brand shared in the news release that the limited-edition bottle sold out. According to the brand’s Facebook page, Chicken Cock had such a great time with the collaboration, they wanted to follow up with another release.

“Kisner’s quick wit and sharp one-liners like ‘Ain’t No Hobby’ resonate with the audience,” claimed Grain & Barrel CMO Kyle Harder. “We wanted to bring that personality on these labels to reflect the bold, confident Chicken Cock attitude as well as Kisner’s personality.”
