On Wednesday, Ammunition Wine and Whiskey announced the Sonoma-based brand was partnering with NASCAR rising star Anthony Alfredo. Alfredo is set to kick off the partnership on Friday during a 5 p.m. race at NASCAR’s Xfinity Series.
The racer will be driving a No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro with Ammunition branding displayed on the vehicle. This marks Alfredo’s sixth season as a NASCAR race car driver, according to a news release from Ammunition. He will compete for the Xfinity Series full-time driving the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro for Our Motorsports and part-time in the NASCAR Cup series driving the No. 62 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Beard Motorsports.

After falling in love with racing in his youth, Alfredo spent a lot of time operating heavy machinery and driving trucks. Eventually, he signed with Lee Faulk Racing’s Late Model Racing and demonstrated a promising career.
“I began this partnership as a fan of Ammunition Wine and Whiskey’s smooth-tasting spirits, and after meeting Andy and Bill and learning how they broke into the alcohol space and built a name and following for their brand, I knew this was the company I wanted to go the distance with,” Alfredo said in the news release.
In January, Ammunition Wine and Whiskey was featured in the country music singer, Jessie G’s, music video for her song “Like My Whiskey.” The music video starred the artist herself, Gretchen Wilson and included an on-screen cameo appearance from Colbie Caillat.
As for this current partnership and the brand’s foray into racing, Ammunition branding will be featured in nine races in the NASCAR Xfinity series.
“Anthony’s grit, perseverance and commitment to his craft are what have helped him build a reputation as one of NASCAR’s most promising drivers,” Ammunition co-founder Andy Wahl said in a statement. “We see many parallels between his rapid ascent for NASCAR and Ammunition Wine and Whiskey’s building a national brand and fan base, and we are grateful to be able to support Anthony through another standout season.”
