CÎROC Vodka announced on Thursday that the brand was unveiling the launch of Cîroc Limonata Drops, a pop-up event series bringing the vibes of a Mediterranean summer vacation to a city near you. The brand teamed up with actor and internet personality Ricky Thompson.
“People talk about all kinds of summer adventures, but what I want is an Italian beach summer. After visiting Greece and Spain earlier this year I’ve been bringing that Mediterranean energy anywhere I can,” Thompson said in a news release. “These Cîroc Limonata Drops are going to be that little extra dose of Mediterranean bliss! Delicious treats, Limonata cocktails and good vibes have me savoring every last drop of summer and immediately bring me back to my best memories from vacation.”
The event series is launching with a VIP preview in Malibu. CÎROC aims to host a Limonata Drops Limonata Villa event featuring CÎROC Limonata-infused ice creams from the sorbet brand Aubi & Ramsa. The flavors are Limon Drop and La Limonata.
Limon Drop is described as “bold” and “zesty” made with CÎROC Limonata and Orange Liqueur. The ice cream is garnished with strawberry pieces. La Limonata is described by the brand as a “fresh” and “flavorful” Limonata ice cream made with CÎROC.
CÎROC shared that the flavors will be available at the ice cream shop menu for New York and Nevada customers. The flavors will be housed in miniature 3.7-ounce ice cream containers and 16-ounce ice cream containers, priced at $10 and $22.
The brand shared it intends to host pop-up events in New York, Miami and Las Vegas. It also aims to host takeovers in the Hamptons and at Martha’s Vineyard. The final event will take place in Chicago during Black Yacht Week.
CÎROC made headlines back in June 2023, when the brand severed its relationship with Sean “Diddy” Combs. Combs actually filed a lawsuit against Diageo, its parent company, one month earlier in May 2023. Combs claimed he had been discriminated against by executives at Diageo.
NBC News reported in November that Diageo felt differently about the situation, claiming it wanted to steer clear of featuring the artist in DeLeón commercials due to recent sexual assault allegations that surfaced against the mogul.
The artist reached a settlement with the spirits giant in January, which ended Combs’ relationship with Diageo. Diageo assumed full ownership of DeLeón.
In May, The Independent reported the artist faced multiple lawsuits over sexual assault allegations such as sexual abuse, rape and sex trafficking. Federal agents raided Combs’ homes in Los Angeles and Miami on March 25.
