On Monday, the James B. Beam Distilling Co. unveiled a new annual release: Old Grand-Dad 7-Year-Old Bottled In Bond Bourbon. The original Old Grand-Dad Bottled In Bond is a budget-friendly favorite of many bourbon drinkers, so this 7-year edition is sure to excite. While not quite as affordable as the original, the new version still has a tame suggested retail price of $39.99. This first iteration is a blend of bourbons distilled in spring 2018.

Old Forester Brings Back ‘Fan Favorite’ 1910 Extra Extra Old Bourbon

Old Forester announced Wednesday that it has released a new batch of its limited-edition 1910 Extra Extra Old bourbon, a double-barreled whiskey aged an additional 24 months in a heavily charred secondary oak barrel.

Diageo, the international beverage company, is seeking to dismiss a class action lawsuit accusing it of falsely labeling products under its as “100% agave.” In a court filing submitted Monday, the company argued the plaintiffs’ complaint lacks factual support and relies on vague claims and unverified testing.

Kentucky whiskey distillery Buffalo Trace announced on Monday that Meridian Biotech will invest $40 million to build a new facility in Franklin County, where Buffalo Trace is located, with the goal of converting distillery byproduct from Buffalo Trace Distillery into alternative proteins.
