This is a single cask rum selected for r/rum and bottled by Fine Drams in Denmark. At 9 years old, this rum was distilled by Alcoholes Finos Dominicanos, in the Dominican, and bottled at cask strength with no coloring or filtering or additives. I was thrilled that we were able to take this cask as well as the XXX/Two cask. Like all selections I review where I was involved in the selection, this will go unscored.
Mango, papaya, lemon, lime and citrus. Powerfully fruity, intense and rich. Vanilla, cream, sweet confectioners sugar. Oak is far less prominent than Two.
Banana creme, toffee, pear, plum, mango and papaya. Fruit bouquet. Thick, rich mouth feel. A bit hotter than I’d prefer but still in check. It runs free.
Long, fruity and rich. Powerful, fruity, in comparison with Two's more dessert and oak.
Amazing. More floral and wild then Two, but less oaky and bourbon-y. Amazing, and a favorite of mine. I'm very stoked we were able to get this cask to accompany XXX/Two.
