Ducks Unlimited Shotgun Shell American Single Malt is a limited-edition release from World Whiskey Society created in partnership with Ducks Unlimited. The non-age-statement American single malt is presented in a red, shotgun shell–inspired glass bottle with a custom-engraved cap and gun barrel–style tube case.

According to the producer, the whiskey offers notes of oak, dark fruit, cocoa, chocolate, walnut, honey and allspice, with a smoky finish. The release typically retails for about $119.99.

  • Taking a sip, the palate shows similar notes. Lightly sweet orange peel and cedar come first, soon joined by almond extract and cereal grains. The flavors are in balance and play together nicely, and the finish is quite long as notes of orange peel, cedar, and cereal grain slowly fade.
