  • The palate is pretty much classic Woodford on steroids, with baked apple, vanilla pudding, milk chocolate, nutmeg, cinnamon and burnt orange notes all swirling around together.

  • Overall, this is an easy pour to enjoy. That said, it's not simple or one noted. It's powerful, oaky, bold and rich. With almost 60% ABV comes a lot of character, yet it's not too hot or punishing. An oaky maple bomb with great undercurrents of baking spice, clove and a touch of root beer and cherry, this Master's Collection is masterful for sure.

  • Nose:

Rich and thick, layers of maple, clove, baking spices and brown sugar. Sweet, oaky and full of character.

  • Taste:

Rich on the palate. A prickle of ethanol blends nicely with bold oak, sweet cream, fresh clover honey, a touch of root beer candies, cinnamon, vanilla bean and a notable cherry note on the back palate. Complex, full of flavor, possibly the most vibrant and full bodied Woodford Reserve in a long time.

  • Finish:

Long finish. Driven first by oak, a fat pour of brown sugar, maple candies, clove and pepper blend nicely. Hangs long on the palate, it's complex yet easy to drink.
