Released in May 2025, Woodford Reserve Tawny Port Finish is a member of the brand's Distillery Series. This is a blend of rye whiskey, bourbon and Tawny port-finished bourbon. To our knowledge, this is the first bourbon x rye blend released by Woodford. Throw in the port finish, and there's a lot to be excited about here. Bottled at 90.4 proof, this limited-edition whiskey has a suggested retail price of $64.99 per 375-milliliter bottles. It's available from select Kentucky retailers and at the distillery, plus can be shipped to Kentucky, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Nebraska and Washington, D.C., via Woodford Reserve's online store.

The nose is balanced and enticing, with notes of vanilla, graham cracker, cinnamon, tobacco and blackberry.
Distinctive, balanced and quite tasty. The port is held in check and mingles very well with the distillate. More tobacco, plus cracked pepper, coconut milk, clove, a touch of mint, cocoa powder and walnuts.
The finish brings more pepper, plus raisin and graham cracker. Then, after a few moments, some port gushes forth in earnest, stronger and clearer here than anywhere previously.
This is a lovely, well-structured whiskey. The bourbon and rye both shine, and the port is tame — while undoubtedly present — for most of the pour but really comes through on the finish. I expected to want a higher proof here, but that wasn't the case; it's excellent as is.
