Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is a straight bourbon bottled at 101 proof, featuring a mash bill of 75% corn, 13% rye and 12% malted barley. Aged for an average of eight years in a historic rickhouse in Kentucky, each bottle is a single barrel selection, ensuring no two barrels are identical. It is available in 750 ml bottles for around $70.
I'd recommend this product to someone who either hasn't tried Booker's Bourbon yet and wants to know if the price will be worth it, or someone who likes Booker's and needs a more affordable daily sipper.
Wild Turkey Kentucky Spirit is a delicious bourbon, but it feels lacking in just enough ways that I can’t shake my desire for Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel Bourbon.
Possibly the most overlooked bottle in Wild Turkey’s lineup, barrels of Kentucky Spirit are consistently good, and sometimes fantastic, making it a bourbon that has the potential to showcase the best Wild Turkey has to offer.
