  • This may be a bit more refined and a touch sweeter than rack Wild Turkey 101, but it’s clearly cut from the same cloth.

  • Nose:

Sweet and enticing on the nose. Vanilla bean, cinnamon, tapioca, oak, custard, honeycrisp apple, cherry, plum.

  • Taste:

Great viscosity on the palate. A hearty helping of oak is joined by honey, cherry, nutmeg and cinnamon, plus mega apple character, which carries onto the palate with a tart Granny Smith note and also a less prominent sweeter apple bake note layered in.

  • Finish:

Warm, buttery, gentle, medium to long finish. Plenty of green apple continues onto the finish, joined by cherry, tobacco, oak and char.

  • Overall:

This is lovely. It's exquisitely oaky, layered with plenty of sweet apple character and super easy to sip and enjoy. A pour worthy of Jimmy Russell himself!

  • Score:

    92
