Wigle Reserve 8 Years Single Barrel American Wheat Whiskey is produced at Wigle Whiskey in Pennsylvania. Distilled in a copper pot still from heirloom wheat, the whiskey is aged eight years in single barrels. The reserve line expression reflects the wheat mash bill and single barrel aging.
This is quite nice to be honest. Younger, certainly, but the wheat does a great job of mellowing out the profile while still allowing the darker single barrel aspects to come through. Very pleasant mouthfeel and good balance between the thicker caramel sweetness and drying oak/charcoal.
