House Review
  • Nose:

    Honey, light grain, some butterscotch and cassia. On the younger side, not super complex, but not grainy or malty.

  • Taste:

    Moderate mouthfeel, some melon, orange peel, cinnamon, toffee and a hint of vanilla. Despite the extremely (read: 100%) high rye content, this drinks pretty sweet and fruity.

  • Finish:

    Short finish. A bit of heat, some orange peel, cinnamon, brown butter and clove.

  • Overall:

    Overall, this isn't so bad. It drinks a hair young for a 6yr rye, but packs in a surprising amount of sweet, fruity, dessert notes. Not the best rye for the $, but far from the worst.
