Unveiled on Oct. 17, 2025, this is the 10th annual release of the Seattle, Washington-based Westland Distillery's Garryana American Single Malt, a whiskey aged in Garryana oak casks. This year's is the oldest yet, aged a full decade in a mix of first- and second-fill Garryana Oak, Pedro Ximénez sherry, rum and bourbon casks. It's also Westland's first whiskey to bear an age statement. Bottled at 100 proof, this single malt is priced at $149.99 per 700-milliliter bottle, with about 4,608 bottles available. It rolls out to Washington starting Oct. 18 and will expand to select nationwide retailers starting Oct. 27.

Beautiful sweet nose that balances light fruity notes with aromas that indicate the age. It's full of tangerine, peach, flamed orange peel, graham cracker and caramel.
On the palate, this malt has a lovely, buttery viscosity and a wonderful flavor profile full of leather, orange and peach, butterscotch pudding, espresso and oak and bitter tannin. It's light yet well-aged and exquisitely balanced.
On the finish, the fruity notes give way to the darker and sweeter profile: oak, coffee, tobacco, vanilla bean, clove.
This is absolutely delicious stuff; American single malt just about at its best. Great work, Westland. This is fantastic whiskey, and I'm excited to see what's next.
