Wattie Boone & Sons Bourbon is a small-batch Kentucky straight bourbon produced and distilled by Preservation Distillery in Bardstown, Kentucky. Made from a wheated mash bill with grains sourced from local farms, including Affinity Farms in New Haven, the whiskey undergoes sweet mash fermentation for 3 to 5 days and double distillation in copper pot stills. It ages a minimum of six years in new American oak with varying toast and char levels.
This is not the most complex whiskey, and it won’t give you the rich, bold flavors that a bourbon can provide, but I think it is a nice addition to the whiskey cabinet at the retail price.
