  • The mouthfeel is light and velvety. Wildflower honey is subtle with hay and grass. Additionally, espresso grounds add a small amount of bitterness. Orange segment mixes with a spice and tobacco smoke. Black pepper and oak linger on the finish.

  • On the palate, it drinks more classic, too, nicely rounded and rich with a doughy sweetness and lots of orchard fruit notes — pears and apples all stewed and heavily spiced. It’s mouth-coating and oily into the generous finish, accented by a lingering bit of lemon curd.

  • As I touched the liquid to my tongue, I got the sweet nature of this whisky. It tends to give you sweeter tones on spicy backbones. The dry and spicy finish is fun.
