Virginia Distillery Co. Cider Cask Finish is an American single malt made from 100% malted barley. It is aged in ex-bourbon barrels and finished in French calvados casks, Virginia cider barrels and Laird's Apple Brandy barrels.
On the palate, more of that cinnamon follows, and it’s accented wonderfully by Golden Grahams, cereal milk, brown sugar oatmeal, caramelized sugar, and a zip of sliced green apple. The finish has great depth and brings out a delicious apple Danish note.
Toasted malt notes combine with juicy orchard fruits to create a complex, weighty nose on this satisfying whiskey. The palate shows more flavors of crisp autumn cider and hints at wisps of smoky malt and dark chocolate. The
