In July 2025, Trulieve Cannabis Corp. launched Upward, a cannabis-infused energy drink, and expanded distribution of its hemp-derived Onward beverages. Upward comes in 5 mg flavors of Lemonade, Peach Nectarine and Strawberry Tea, as well as a 10 mg Pink Lemonade option. The beverages are low-calorie, made in the U.S. and contain THC and CBD with an energy boost from green coffee beans and black tea leaves.

The beverage has ample effervescence at the start with a sweet-tart palate featuring notes of fairground lemonade, orange blossom honey and cherry lollipop.
A subtle, hemp note appears at the medium-length finish, but it’s so mild and toned down by the pink lemonade that it makes this beverage a good choice for those who usually avoid a weedy flavor in a THC drink.
This was my first THC-infused energy drink and I enjoyed it. As a naturally sleepy person, I found that the combination of a gentle energy boost with a bit of cannabis worked well. It’s not too sweet, not too soda-like and not too seltzery -- a balanced middle ground among the many interesting non-alcoholic beverages available today.
