  • It is a nice whiskey, and I probably wouldn’t turn down another glass if offered. However, there are other whiskeys I’d reach for first.

  • The whiskey is ultimately an average venture into the rye space as it lacks the oomph necessary to stand out in today’s crowded marketplace.

  • Nose:

Sweet honey and fragrant nose, tons of candied ginger, lemon peel and lavender.

  • Taste:

Rich palate, super floral and spicy. This thing is rye from start to finish, powerful and full of maple, honey, lavender, orange peel, and spicy pepper.

  • Finish:

Long, spicy, hot finish that’s pure spice, floral, fruity, no oak or maple. It's punchy and ethanol forward, but every prickle of heat is paired with flavor and bold rye spice.

  • Overall:

Overall, this uncut rye is bold, spicy, powerful, and a bit aggressive. If that rye profile is your wheelhouse, hold on, you're in for a treat.
