With NDP releases like this, and others, it’s a good time to be a Dickel fan, because even if it doesn’t carry the name, there is a lot of really good GD floating around the market these days.
The palate is a complex mélange of cherries, blueberries, blackberries, mango, and orange marrying with dark chocolate, baking spice, lush oak, aged tobacco leaf, and a light espresso note. More richness and complexity on a delicious finish of chocolate, blackberry jam, walnuts, and coconut shavings.
If you are a Dickel fan and itching for a new bottle it is hard for me to suggest purchasing this over the much more appropriately priced Dickel Bottled in Bond.
The palate is extremely drying, even with plenty of water added, which transforms the fiery flavor profile to sarsaparilla, allspice and ginger, with a spicy cinnamon red-hot fade.
