In an interesting gambit, FOX partnered with Next Century Spirits to release a bourbon to accompany its new show, "Monarch," which stars Susan Sarandon. Bottled at 94 proof, this bourbon comes with no age statement and a finish in smoked barrels.

Aggressively woody, full of cedar, smoke, citrus and pepper. Young on the nose with aggressive tannins.
Bitter and oaky, young and grainy. This tastes every day of two years old, with a tinge of ash and barrel char.
Short finish. It’s a touch hot for 47% ABV, and the finish is bombarded with char, young wood, wet paper pulp and a touch of pepper and woody bitterness.
Overall, Truthteller 1839 points to a show best enjoyed rather than a whiskey poured and drank.
