Produced at Town Branch in Kentucky, True Cask is an uncut, non-chill filtered straight bourbon. It blends two mash bills: one with 72% corn, 15% malted barley and 13% rye, and another with a higher corn content. It is aged at least four years.
Crafted with a blend of high-malt and high-corn mash bills, this whiskey’s profile comes out swinging with rich toffee and berry compote character, landing slightly bolder and more assertive than batch four's bright-cherry-laden batch.
Town Branch has yet to make a big splash but their True Cask Straight Bourbon Batch 006 might change that, as it is a rewarding and flavorful sip at a great price.
