Tomintoul Peated is distilled with peated malted barley to impart a smoky flavor and matured in American oak ex-bourbon barrels. Priced at $44, it is produced by Tomintoul Distillery, established in 1965 and located in the Cairngorms National Park near the highest village in the Scottish Highlands. The distillery uses water from the Ballantruan spring.
