Tomintoul 25 Years Old is a single malt whisky crafted from select casks by Master Distiller Robert Fleming. Matured in bourbon barrels, it rests at 43% ABV. As of 2025, a bottle retails anywhere from $300 to $700.
Full-bodied, with ripe apples, cocoa, milky coffee, honey, vanilla, and soft spices. Spicy and drying, with plain chocolate in the relatively lengthy, mellow finish.
Pleasant enough. I would imagine it to be a fine dram while sitting on a backyard patio at dusk, admiring a satisfying day of accomplished yard work. If, of course, you are willing to shell out money for the rather steep asking price.
