  • It’s even sweeter than Kahlua, despite the considerably higher abv.

  • Just too sweet. However, the coffee character is delicious and rocks an espresso martini.

  • Nose:

Plenty of roasty coffee on the nose with a prick of ethanol

  • Taste:

More rum influence than the nose. The palate is silky smooth with lots of coffee, sweet cane sugar, a kick of rum funk and vanilla. It's very sweet.

  • Finish:

Long, sweet finish with plenty of coffee and vanilla sweetness. The saccharine finish drags on painfully long, making this a tough sipper on its own.

  • Overall:

A tasty coffee liqueur, for sure, but much better served in a cocktail than by itself. Just too sweet. However, the coffee character is delicious and rocks an espresso martini.

  • Score:

    85
