  • Nose:

Caramel corn, confectioners' sugar, cinnamon barbecue glaze and some herbal notes — juniper, cardamom — plus tea plus peach cobbler

  • Taste:

Moderate viscosity with a bit of heat. Brown sugar, peach rings, pepper, ash, tea, barrel char, peanut brittle and a minerality that tastes like whiskey from a certain Tennessee distillery.

  • Finish:

Finishes with ash, char, peach rings, cotton candy, marzipan, tapioca and plenty of cinnamon.

  • Overall:

A nice blended whiskey with a finish that doesn't overwhelm the distillate. This is a sweet, pleasant and perfectly adequate bourbon.

  • Score:

    87
