  • Easy, light and slightly astringent, it is pleasant enough but without the sort of robust backbone current whiskey drinkers seek.

  • The oak persists on the finish, which is a bit abrupt.

  • The tone feels gimmicky, and uninspired, not to mention slightly intentionally obscure.

  • The finish is long and lingering with gentle spices, caramel, and honey sweetness. An excellent debut!

  • Overall, this is a relatively light sipper, melding warm nuttiness on nose and palate with maple, cedar and spice.

  • Not really too impressive, this is clearly young and should have spent more time aging before blending - since it's clear that not even a blend could cover some of the flaws here.

  • Nose:

Sweet, musty, young and funky. The youth is unmistakable and there's a bit of grain here too. Caramel, grass, cream and lemon.

  • Taste:

Sweet on the palate, but thin on mouthfeel. No apparent ethanol on the pale, but it's light on flavor as well. Malty, some cream, lemon, pear.

  • Finish:

Short finish. Pepper, caramel, cream and some honey.

  • Overall:

Not really too impressive, this is clearly young and should have spent more time aging before blending - since it's clear that not even a blend could cover some of the flaws here.
