  • I like this pour a good bit. There’s a lot going on without tannin punching hard at this age. There’s plenty to enjoy and sip through if you’ll give this the time it requires.

  • Nose:

Sweet and buttery on the nose with a good bit of slate and lemon curd, plus butterscotch and heather.

  • Taste:

Moderate viscosity on the palate. Pleasant and sweet with just the right amount of oak. Pepper, honey, toffee and a hint of pear, apple, butterscotch and a bit of parchment and tobacco.

  • Finish:

Long, nuanced and complex finished. Waxy and fruit forward with faint desserty sweetness, light savory tobacco and a hint of pepper.

  • Overall:

I like this pour a good bit. There’s a lot going on without tannin punching hard at this age. There’s plenty to enjoy and sip through if you’ll give this the time it requires.
