Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt is a Japanese whisky that incorporates Islay peat, known for its distinctive smokiness. The whisky balances this smoky quality with sweetness derived from the unique water and maturation processes at the Yamazaki Distillery, per the brand. The expression aims to reflect the Tsukuriwake philosophy of House of Suntory, which emphasizes diversity in whisky making through various malt types and production techniques. Yamazaki Islay Peated Malt retails for around $469.99.
