  • Nose:

Soft and buttery, lactic and full of caramel, honey, sweet cream, some pepper, ginger and soft, baking, bread.

  • Taste:

Loaded with honey, pears, peaches, lychee and sweet vanilla. Toffee, a bit of pepper and spice. Not wildly rich on the palate but layered and complex, with lots going on.

  • Finish:

Long finish, peaches, pears, apples, sweet butter cream, honey and cracked pepper.

Honestly, the recent years releases seems to be the stride for Yamazaki, who manage to release an interesting and complex pour here with Golden Promise.
