  • Nose:

Powerful peat meets sugar cookie, browned butter and a bit of saline.

  • Taste:

A delicate balance of peat, apple and pear, oak, butterscotch and vanilla wafers.

  • Finish:

The finish is long, opening with honey, marzipan and concluding with satisfying barbecue smoke, mesquite and vanilla.

  • Overall:

This is a stunning whisky. Beautiful, soft and sweet, it's truly exceptionally balanced. Spectacular nuance (aptly named!) at just 10 years old. Many peated whiskies demand you be a hardcore smokehead to enjoy them, but not this one. Any lover of fine whisky who isn't absolutely averse to peat should enjoy this greatly.
